How do you track season ticket usage?
Ticketnology
Tickets Knowledge Technology A simplified and centralized approach to maximize your season tickets
If you’ve invested in NFL, NBA, NHL, MLB or other seasonal event tickets as part of your business development strategy (entertaining prospects and clients, employee recognition, etc.), do you know who is using them? And are you using all your event tickets or are some going unused? Unused tickets are a direct blow to your investment, as are misused tickets (for example, violating IRS compliance rules or being used by clients/prospects/employees who are not generating an adequate ROI).
Managing season tickets can be cumbersome and time consuming, especially if you’re relying on spreadsheets or email to track usage, approve requests and distribute tickets! (And if you’re using a ticket management platform, does it fit your needs and budget?)
Consider these five questions when assessing your ticket management process:
1.????? Is your process easy and seamless for approving requests and distributing tickets?
2.????? Are you tracking usage so you know who is using them and how many go to waste?
3.????? What are you doing with tickets you can’t use?
4.????? Are you buying the correct number of tickets and to the events that best suit your organization’s needs?
5.????? Can you track your ticket investment returns?
Ideally, you want a process that allows you to quicky approve requests and distribute tickets to employees or clients. To maximize your investment return, you want to resell or donate those unneeded tickets. If you’re ending up with too many unneeded tickets, you might be buying too many or to events that don’t resonate with your prospects/clients/employees. Your season ticket investment should yield an adequate return, so if it doesn’t or you’re unsure, it’s time to change things up!
