How do you Tackle a Dysfunctional and Divisive Culture?

Creating a healthy and inclusive work environment can be difficult in an organisation where the existing workplace culture is less than ideal. Toxicity can seep into an organisation through several channels, from abrasive leadership to unproductive competition among employees to bullying and harassment. And this damages morale, productivity and overall employee wellbeing. ? People professionals and leaders should therefore be alert in spotting possible signs of:


1.????? Toxicity: such as high turnover rates, excessive stress-related illnesses, or increased absenteeism. Not able to attract Talent when recruiting.


2.????? Bullying: They should take proactive steps to stamp out bullying and other negative behaviour, and cultivate an open and empathetic organisational climate where employees feel safe reporting concerns they may have.


3.????? Positive Transparent Communication: open dialogue and a commitment to resolving underlying issues
