HOW DO YOU SEE YOUR BUSINESS?

Whether you are a new business or a business that has been running for several years, it can become very easy to lose control of it and/or let it drift and for many reasons. Perhaps you are growing rapidly and feeling overwhelmed or you are in state of flux. It may be that you are feeling burned out and have taken your eye off the ball or quite simply that you haven't got a handle on things. Firefighting often kicks in rather that structured and focused delivery.

Your ideal operation and your actual operation can be something very different. Without strong foundations and a systematic structure, things can quite easily get out of control and create a whole flurry of stress and overwhelm

STEP 1: Answer the questions below from todays perspective

1. If your business was a colour, what colour would it be?

2. If your business was a shape, what shape would it be?

3. If your business was a temperature what would that be? Freezing, cold, lukewarm, warm, hot or scorching?

4. If your business was a sound, what word would best describe your sound?

5. If you had an adhoc audit carried out on your business by a random person, what would their first impressions be? Describe this in 3 words or less

Now write a short paragraph to represent your business, using all of your answers

STEP 2:

Answer the questions again and create a new paragraph with your ideal answers

Is there a difference?

If so, what 5 PRIORITY TASKS can you do right now to get it to your ideal?
