How do you respond to objections?

This is based on an original conversation in reply to my sharing Reboundog's 1st Year Celebrations here in LinkedIn messages with name removed for privacy and now with an updated conclusion.

Hey Spencer! Nice piece, but I’m still not sure what Reboundog is for? You seem to fit with my ethos, which is awesome, but I’m not sure what I would be paying for? (Not meaning to be rude!)

Me: Recently I was asked to explain in a few words what I do, so here goes I host a global network of pet advocates 'What do you do on the network' I strategically connect everyone together & host the meet-ups. So what is Reboundog for...the big ? As in most walks of life existing business/non-profit models haven't resolved what they're intended to do. So we need?to bring together a diverse mix of pet advocates who collectively have more experience/knowledge to have a place (platform) where they can connect to have conversations (hence the meet-ups) to explore potential collaborations on innovative/disruptive (as is your way of delivering xxxxxx) solutions to resolve the huge social issue (wicked problem) of rescued dogs & disadvantaged people. Does that make sense??

It does make sense, I’m just not sure why I would pay for that when social media and my networking abilities are quite strong?

Me: What I've noticed over the years xxx with most networking both here online & in business networking meetings is it's done for self-promotion in one form & another. Social media networks are great but they aren't generative social-impact networks.?Where networks of individuals or organisations aim to solve difficult problems in society by generating collaborative efforts, whilst building personal relationships based on trust & reciprocity. This is my aim for Reboundog, hence the virtual meet-ups are not in Zoom boxes & one day will be face to face.?To date as a 1 year old start-up the seeds have been sown to develop a public-private partnership addressing responsible dog ownership plus here in the UK to create solutions for homeless people with rescued dogs. Such problems can't be solved by a single organisation. I don't describe Reboundog as a movement, as in Me2 or Extinction Rebellion, as they are usually formed to achieve one thing & disband.?A lot of social-impact networks where you are in the US are funded by the big philanthropic foundations & have potential to be influenced by their financial support. I want Reboundog to be independent, though members projects will no doubt apply for funding. My dream is that human-animal bond programmes such as prison dogs become common place & thus provide a regular outlet for the unwanted dogs in rescues. Will you join us to make it happen please?

I share the dream, honestly I do, but I’m just not sure what’s “in it for me” (as selfish as that sounds!)

So to conclude in response to : “I’m not sure what I would be paying for?” “I’m just not sure why I would pay for that” I’m just not sure what’s “in it for me”?

You’d be joining the 'revolutionary network’ (Kathy Tarochione Dog Connection Show) of a 'pretty impressive in such a short space of time' (Tazz Latifi The Petropolist) globally diverse, seriously knowledgeable & successfully experienced pet advocate and mental health professionals who are action takers now starting to collaborate to create disruptive solutions to challenge society’s attitude to undesirable dogs and disadvantaged people.
