Yesterday on my channel, for my weekly Sunday LIVE (every Sunday at 8pm ET/5pm PT), I chatted with Alecia Renece The Artist about how feelings of envy and jealousy can impact Black Women in the workplace.
Here is just a snippet of the knowledge Alecia graciously shared with us:
"We live in a very envious and jealous culture. If you look at marketing and advertising, it's always saying, 'You're not enough. This person has it and you don't.' So it makes sense why we are envious and jealous because that's the programming. In general, the culture [in the United States] is jealousy and envy and theft and violence, then you go into the workplace, and it's the same thing. Especially if the companies are built off of scarcity and lack, then you're going to have that culture within the workplace." - Alecia Renece The Artist
As a multi-talented artist working to document and preserve the stories of Black Women for future generations through music, writing, and photography, Alecia recently launched a fundraising campaign to continue her creative projects which you can contribute to here . Please feel free to share her campaign with donors who are looking to support the important work of Black Women artists.

Step Into Your Queendom
If you're currently in a toxic job that has you feeling lost, disconnected from yourself, and not able to even think about how to leave, I created a roadmap for myself that you may also find helpful.
This digital fillable workbook, called "Welcome to Your Queendom ," provides you with prompts you can respond to rediscover yourself (your "Queendom") and tap into your inner knowing so that you can begin to envision a life outside of that toxic job.
Here is what Marissa said about how the workbook benefitted her:
"'Welcome to Your Queendom' played a pivotal role in my journey towards liberation. It truly helped me regain my sense of self-worth and reconnect to my authentic voice after feeling like I had lost myself completely. If you're struggling in a toxic environment and wondering how you can ever make it out, I highly recommend using this workbook as your guide."
