How do you master your to-do list?

So, I finally mastered to use Trello.

After trying a dozen tools and excel sheets and whatnot, I finally managed to settle with Trello. Not that I was using it for the first time, or using it more efficiently than before, but I was using it with improved concentration and will-power.

No matter which tool you use, without proper concentration and vested time, that tool will not work. And therefore, this post is not about how good Trello is, this post is about how good every tool is when you are ready to use it.

Here are a couple of things that you need to make great use of everything that comes your way.

Concentration:

We are all told to concentrate, but never taught how to do it. Without proper concentration, you will always jump between stuff. Lack of concentration will make your life a mess. Over the past couple of months, I have tried everything to build my concentration. I have tried meditating, I have tried keeping my phone away at work, I have tried reading a book and not do anything else while I am it. The results of this practice has been phenomenal. So if you can, take some time out every day to practice concentration. It helps.

Will Power:

Without the willingness to complete something that you have started, you will go nowhere. I have always struggled with this. My instinct has been to leave things in the middle and just fuck off if I see no results. It helped me in no way.

But the problem is, no one really ever teaches you about building will power. So, how do you do it? You practice. Finish what you have started and don’t leave it for later. Bring this habit into things you do every day.

What do you do every day? You sleep. So you brush before bed, you put on your pajamas or whatever suits you, you sleep, you wake up, and leave. No. You make your bed. And then you leave. You complete your sleep like that.

If you make breakfast and eat breakfast every day, why not also wash the dishes after you are done? It builds on to your will power.

With confidence and will-power you can empower yourself to achieve what you want in life. So what do you do every day where you can bring this practice in place?
