How do you know when your OFS trusts you?

With OFS… How do you know when your OFS trusts you?
–When the going gets tough, they stay with you.–
That’s what happened to Kay and her OFS.
The OFS made a mistake. A mistake that was so bad he was in danger of losing his job. He could have easily disappeared at this point to save face.
But that didn’t happen.
Because Kay and her OFS have established that trust, they got through it.
Her OFS took accountability for his mistakes and did everything possible to fix the situation.
Kay created a loyal, rockstar OFS.

During a recent fiasco it would have been very easy for my virtual assistant to abandon ship–in fact, it was me saying that I felt we might not be able to continue the relationship.
But because we had built trust–he choose to continue working to rectify the issue –knowing he might not have a position with my business–and was honest every step of the way–finally, he gave up when the last door slammed shut on him fixing the problem.
But he gave it his 100% and as he worked, ?I let him know that I was so impressed with his commitment and diligence that regardless of whether he was able to fix the problem, I would like to keep working together–if he would as well…so we are still a rockstar team…and he just had a new baby–so I feel really good that our continued work will support his family as he continues to support mine through his work with my company.
So as bosses, we have to hold ourselves accountable to building that trust by how we communicate and the actions that we take especially during crisis situations which are going to happen.
I am ever so grateful for your platform that connected me to this amazing soul that I get to work with each week…and now my second VA and he are teaming–so it feels really solid.
Smiles of gratitude, Kay

There are so many ways to establish trust with your OFS.
You need to establish trust because mistakes WILL happen. You WILL run into problems. These things are unavoidable.
But when you have your OFS trust, you have their loyalty. They will stand by you no matter what.
