They first understand the customers and the customers needs and that basically leads them to create a product.


The process of thinking of the current need, comparing products/services on the basis of their quality and price in the market and then selecting the right product goes almost the same way in different human minds.

It is the entire core of marketing, Putting your product before the world and making them buy it.


A great product sells itself. It's all about a game of perception. A major change has been identified in the usage pattern of consumers which has been strategically tapped by companies?


Your marketing life-cycle does not just end there, you need to retain the customers by giving the best service to your customer after selling the product or services. Giving the best service or product is the best way to develop trust with people. It will make your customers refer to your product in their circle.

Xiaomi have been adopting the strategies of hunger marketing where the availability of the product is intentionally restricted by the manufacturer to create surplus demand in the market.


They come up with the strategy of Flash Sale on Amazon. People were waiting for the product launch and within a couple of hours it ran out of stock. Even, I also waited for the flash sale to buy my brand new MI NOTE 5 my first ever mobile from own earning. ??(Quite low on budget that time)


Digital marketing vs. traditional marketing:

The main difference between Digital and traditional marketing is the medium through which an audience encounters a marketing message. While traditional marketing uses traditional media like magazines and newspapers, digital marketing uses digital media, such as social media or websites.

?Lets take a case study of Xiaomi to understand it better-


In 2014, 250 million people owned a smartphone out of 1.2 billion people. By the end of the same year, Xiaomi captured 1.5% of Indian market share which doubled in 2015 competing along with homegrown brands like Micromax, Lava and other international brands like Samsung.

77% of the smartphones were locally made that benefited them in reducing the operational costs. By the same time Xiaomi had overtook Samsung and Apple by the end of 2015 in China.

How Xiaomi Uses CATT marketing funnel to grow.


I am saying the buyer's interest and not the buyers themselves because every marketing funnel is built based on a specific interest. Through a funnel, you keep the attention of the buyer on your products by providing them the appropriate value.

Indian market is very diverse and large and it is difficult to penetrate it in one go hence Xiaomi chose a narrow segment to cater initially which aspired to produce a great product but at the same time at lower costs for the cost conscious customers.?

Xiaomi did this by offering limited number of products toward targeted customer base of range 10000 -15000 rupees in Indian market by reducing its advertisement cost by adopting the online advertisement strategies. Another way of reducing the price was exclusive partnership with online retailers like Flipkart and Amazon that reduced the logistic costs. These online retailers also had history of consumer satisfaction and trust which was also utilized buy Xiaomi.


Integrated Digital Marketing

Integration literally means uniting different things together. Here in Digital Marketing, instead of working on every platform separately, you can unite those platforms to form a process and make use of it to make your strategy work effectively. CATT works on the basis of integrated digital marketing.

Personal branding is not built overnight. It will take time and patience but it will be worth the wait. Giving a face to your brand can definitely improve the relationship between the customer and the service provider.

Communicating personally with your prospects and customers creates an impression in the customer's mind that they are being taken care of by the service providers and this is irrespective of the industry. It helps to build trust which can not be easily built otherwise.
