How do you find the time?

How do you find the time?

This is a question I get asked frequently. Some dear colleagues and friends asked me the same question when we met for dinner last week when I told them about the launch of my upcoming "Pradeepa Leadership Development School."?

To me, it's not about finding the time. We all technically have the same amount of time every day. It is about how I prioritize and use my time to work on the goals that I set forth for myself. I am currently working on launching my Leadership Development School, which takes priority over my other goals. Time is not a hidden treasure that I can dig somewhere with clues to find it. In short, I create the time to work on things that truly matter to me.?

I used to view achieving goals as having passion and intention. But desire and purpose without genuine commitment will not lead to progress and are certainly not enough to achieve your goals. It is about taking meaningful actions consistently. It is about doing things that we are not comfortable with yet. It is about having the courage to fail and learning from that without giving up. It is about pivoting or persevering based on the learnings as we progress.?

For example, I am passionate about developing leaders who will go on and create an impactful and extraordinary ecosystem in their environments and make work and life enjoyable for others. A good leader with excellent leadership skills will continue to develop other leaders. And our world needs such great leaders.?

So, to turn that passion into a reality, I have created "Pradeepa Leadership Development School." It is a pretty big commitment I have set forth for myself. When it comes actually to running this online school, it is a six-month time commitment every other weekend. But, I can't just run the school. I have to work on creating the vision, curriculum, and logistics, including securing the master guest teachers, which is all done now. I am working with my editor and designer to ensure my vision comes into shape as a document. Several people are interested in signing up for the school and are reaching out. I am making time and meeting them later in the evening after work hours or over the weekend for people with significant time zone differences.?

I also coordinate time after work to record short videos with my guest teachers. The first video with John Sigmon was released last week, getting tremendous responses. It isn't easy to record these videos as I am learning to host, record, and ensure I am asking the right questions, introducing the guests correctly, and tying it back to the school curriculum. I have recorded 3 of these videos so far (one of which I have to re-record based on my coach's feedback), and I feel I am getting better slightly every time. By the time I finish with all the guest teachers, I may not become a pro, but I will be much better and more comfortable doing these in the future. Also, I am so grateful to my guest teachers, who are all super accommodating with my video recording venture. It takes courage to record, re-record as needed, send it to my coach, and get his feedback to figure out the next steps. The video recording exemplifies me doing things I am uncomfortable doing without giving up.?

I will continue to take relevant actions to enroll students and start providing value to enhance their leadership skills immediately. Student learning begins even before school starts. These actions are how I am putting steps toward achieving my goal of offering an outstanding Leadership Development School that is unavailable anywhere.?

I will be teaching "How to achieve any goals in life" as part of the Pradeepa Leadership Development School, in which we will explore this topic more deeply and practically.

Enrollment has started. If you are interested in attending the school or want to know more about it, comment below or PM me. We will find a time to have a conversation.?

"Do you ever sleep ?" is another question I get asked. The answer is, "Yes, I sleep at least 8 hours daily.?

I am so very exited for you. I can not imagine a better person to invest in future leaders. I also follow your example in the fact that I am now prioritizing the things that are the most important to me and working on those. It is so easy to get overwhelmed with commitments. Honestly appraising my capacity is one of the most important things I can do to be productive.
