As we gather together to celebrate Thanksgiving, I am grateful for each and every one of you.?I am honored to be in the presence of such inspiring human beings who are constantly working towards their goals, overcoming challenges, and tirelessly working on becoming more effective leaders for your family, organization, community, and the world. I know that the journey is not easy.
How do you feel this Thanksgiving?
What is it like to sit with your family today and hear about all of the successes and difficulties of your brothers, sisters, cousins and parents? Everyone wants to know how you're doing, and what your plans are. And even if they don't ask, it's apparent how other people are doing.
One of the mistakes we make in life is we assume we're going to be successful by just doing things.
But success and happiness in life don't come from just doing things.
You need a plan.
Otherwise, you just try to survive Thanksgiving, until the next Thanksgiving, and you realize you made no progress.
Progress comes from having a plan and knowing what you are going to do, and why.
Success doesn't just come from being promoted. A lot of people end up getting what they want, but when they end up getting what they want, they realize it doesn't make them happy.?That's a very common thing. So you have to have a plan.

You have to change the narrative such that you look forward to Thanksgiving. Not because you want to show off but because you can help others in your family because you're successful.
Life is difficult today.?It's much more competitive. Inflation.?The world is a scary place. People are scared. It's very hard to compete.
So you can't just rely on what others did in the past, what others are doing now. You also can't rely on what you did in the past, or what you are doing now, to secure a better Thanksgiving next year.
Thanksgiving doesn't become better. You become better first. And then you make Thanksgiving better.?

1 年Thanksgiving is important because it is a designated time assigned to encourage us to pause to be mindful of the blessings we have. Many of us get so caught up in our day-to-day routines that we fail to stop and acknowledge our fortunes. Well shared Kris Safarova ??
