This week, Adam Mosseri shared some quick tips to help improve your IG content performance. Which, to be clear, won’t suddenly triple your reach or anything crazy like that, but these notes could help to drive some additional eyeballs to your content, and boost your performance charts just a bit.

First off, on re-posting your content in different formats, Mosseri says that reposting your Reels to Stories will expand your reach.

Mosseri also shared that in the IG algorithm, Collab Posts will rank the original collaborator more than the person who accepts the collab request.

Get creative with new fonts, text animations & effects in reels & stories

IG is adding new and unique fonts, animations and effects in a simplified text tool to reels and stories. Open the text tool and tap on the text button to see the new fonts. Once you select a font, you can animate your text or add an effect – easily mix and match to find a combination that breaks the mold and feels uniquely you.

Customize your photos & carousels by adding text & layering images.

You can now add text -- including our newest fonts -- and layer images via stickers, to your photos and carousels. This gives you the creative flexibility to make your content stand out and explore new, more entertaining, storytelling with photos and carousels.

Amid the discussion about the relative popularity of Threads versus X , the following chart covers the month of July 2024.

As you can see in this listing, sourced from app analytics provider AppFigures, Meta continues to dominate the overall listings, with Instagram being the most downloaded app for the month, while Facebook, WhatsApp, Threads, and Messenger all made the top 10.

Being a content creator for your personal brand, or for your business is hard work

We start with the best of intentions, but get sidetracked by doom scrolling, looking for audio or with a hundred other things that demand our attention?

So, how do you stay in a creators mindset and not let those things take you away from creating?

My number one tip is this: each morning, create content before you consume any content.

An email. A post. A graphic. Whatever it is, create something first thing before you start scrolling or consuming.

Do this every day and soon your mindset will focus on creating content more than consuming content.?
