How Do You Build a Strong Relationship of Network Contacts on LinkedIn & in Your Face To Face Networks?

How do you ?build a strong relationship of network contacts on LinkedIn and In your face to face networks?? The key is knowing that you have to build a relationship with each new network contact based on TRUST and helping the other person first before asking for anything for yourself. If you don't do this, very few people will want to help you.
So how do you do this?? Here's my strategy and it has worked very well for me and for others that I've shared this strategy with.
First, I'll contact my potential new network contact and ask him if we could meet Zoom or Skype for 5 minutes where I could learn more about what he does, discover any problems he's facing that he doesn't know how to solve yet, and what I can do to help him.? I make it clear that my help is FREE and I don't need anything in return.
If he agrees to the meeting, I ask lots of questions that will allow me to help him more/better. I also watch my watch, so I end the meeting on time.? If the person's getting a lot out of our conversation, he may choose to extend the meeting and that's awesome!? ?At the end of the call, I'll try to set up another 5 minute call to give him any information or contacts who could address his problems.? That helps to strengthen our relationship and build TRUST.
If these 2 calls provide value for my new network contact, he may ask you what he can do for you.? If you're a job seeker and this person works in one of your target companies, ask him about possible job openings that would be perfect for you? and ask him to take your resume to the hiring manager with a referral.? He'll probably?do that and now you're on the top of the pile of resumes and it will definitely get a look before all the other applicants. It doesn't get any better than that!
Clearly, this process takes time but the payoff is unbelievable!? Give it a try!
