How do you build the culture of your company?
Foosball tables. Massage chairs. Beer on tap. Unlimited vacation days.
These are just some of the perks that many companies offer to their employees.
Why? Because they think perks = culture. If employees find work to be “fun,” there will be a great company culture.
If only it were that simple. Culture can’t be bought, it needs to be built.
In this video I discuss the most important elements of a culture where people feel valued, motivated and committed.
Here’s a hint: it doesn’t include getting a Ms. Pac-Man machine.
It’s a topic that will weave its way through the eight weeks of The CEO Circle, which is kicking off in a few days for a select group of CEOs and founders. If you haven’t taken a look at the agenda, I encourage you to check it out.

8 个月Well said! Company culture isn't something built by tangible objects or items bought to attract staff. Company culture is a critical investment that projects to your customers what your company really stands for. How you engage with your team, how you empower them to succeed, and how you tackle projects, all create meaningful connections between people! These connections will last far longer, and be far more impactful, than your bonuses and foosball tables.
