Last week I just finished up planning the annual and quarterly objectives for two of my clients. One client whom I have worked with over the past year had never set annual objectives in a team structured way. Over the past year this client hit about 50% of their annual objectives. And while this is not the level in which they want to perform at, we at least had clear feedback on how well they did as a company.
Each quarter we do a full day planning session reviewing our progress from the previous quarter, seeing how we are trending with our annual objectives and to course correct as needed. Each quarterly meeting, through my QSM process used by most of the top performing businesses, they are getting better and better at knowing what is reasonable to accomplish in any one period and how to better manage execution and team priorities.
Even though there was only a 50% of accomplishment of annual objectives we still hit our major revenue goal and doubled from the previous year. In fact we exceeded our goal by 17%. The previous year we were right around $400,000 and our annual goal was $800,000. We will come in at $936,000!
This month we also planned out how to hit 1.4 Million by the end of 2019 and then 2.75 Million by the end of 2020.
Companies that have massive success plan, set goals, track their progress and don't try to figure it out in a vacuum. They rely on advisers and external support.
