How do you answer this: What role does resilience play in your growth?

Welcome to my newsletter, LinkedIn Content Creation Inspiration ~ Delightful Thoughts, where I share content ideas to help you in creating LinkedIn posts your network will want to read.

Content creation idea: Answer a journal prompt

Do you journal – either in a group or by yourself? Have you ever been pleasantly surprised by something you have written to a journal prompt? You weren’t expecting what you wrote and it really encouraged you. Use what you wrote as content for a post.

Allow your insights to benefit others!

Many times, in writing out your thoughts to a question about how you feel/think about something, you discover new ideas. It’s a great way to reframe a problem and possibly come up with a creative solution that you weren’t expecting.

Journaling is an excellent way to explore who you are…and sharing what you discover could help someone else.

(Bonus: It’s original content, not AI-generated, if they are truly your feelings/thoughts/words.)

Amanda Stern offers a wonderful “Journaling for Growth” membership which includes weekly group journaling sessions. I have learned so much from her. Through this journaling, she helps to “create safe spaces for vulnerability, connection, and growth.”

At a recent group session, this was the journal prompt: What role does resilience play in your growth?

Here are my thoughts……..

Resilience plays a key factor in growth because it’s the foundation to not giving up, to not quitting, to being willing to try again.

Resilience is believing there is a better tomorrow, a new way, a different path that can be explored.

When you try something that doesn’t result in what you expected, resilience is that nugget of hope that quietly says, “Try again…try doing it this way…believe there is another way to do it.”

Resilience doesn’t let you stay down, but uplifts, encourages, and empowers you to keep going, to keep striving, to keep shining.

In order to grow, you have to be willing to embrace new ideas or perspectives, to discover new ways to follow through with action on those ideas, and to being willing to adapt accordingly.

The power of resilience empowers growth because it gives support, encouragement, and enlightenment when satisfying results happen.

And if the results aren’t exactly what you want, resilience encourages (demands) you keep trying until they are!

“Sometimes life requires us to be clever and creative, and sometimes we have to rethink our plans or try a new strategy. That doesn’t mean we’re losing ground. If we’re learning as we go, it’s all forward motion, even if it doesn’t appear to be so in the moment.”

~ Amanda Stern

I choose to move forward no matter how small the next step may be. I choose to keep shining.

It means we're "willing to embrace new perspectives, discover new ways to follow through, willingness to adapt." ?? ?? ?? Val Roskens Tews That's "because it gives support, encouragement, and enlightenment when satisfying results happen." 1) Facing something we fear, 2) opening it up or turning it over to see what's actually inside, 3) knowing that somehow we will get through it, then the last and most important step - 4) looking back at why we feared it, whether that was accurate, and how we got through it - builds confidence to face new challenges in the future.
