Ways to Achieve a Better Work-Life Balance
Focus when you are at work: When you are working—whether in the office or at home—make sure those moments count. Reduce distractions as much as possible so that your working hours are not spent talking or texting loved ones, daydreaming, watching TV, or browsing the internet (Facebook, eBay, Instagram, etc.). These habits can drastically reduce your productivity and increase your overtime.
Switch off when you get home: Take off your work clothes as soon as you get home—it helps create an emotional and physical transition to the end of the day. If possible, separate yourself from work equipment like phones and laptops to aid your downtime.
If you work from home, creating a clear boundary between work and home life is essential. Here are some strategies:

Make home moments count as leisure: Enjoy your time at home by engaging in activities that help you unwind. Listen to music while cooking, chat with family about their day, or watch a favourite show. If a stressful work thought creeps in, acknowledge it, make a quick plan, and refocus on your home life.
Accept unpredictability and lack of control: Life is full of unexpected challenges. Developing adaptability can help manage stress and keep anxiety at a healthy level.
Negotiate: If you’re unable to complete a task, communicate it clearly and work with others to reprioritise or find alternative solutions.
