How do we respond to change?

This last year I wrote a workbook (actually 1 workbook, 3 planners, and outlined another workbook for 2025) on social media marketing. I love writing, it's how I identify myself and a joy for me to do. It's not "work," it's writing.
After teaching social media I knew a lot of ways to help people organize themselves and take on these platforms in a way that could be less stressful. Teaching and doing are always two different tasks, and while I have worked on social media for businesses, I had not worked on my own in a way that was systematic, planned, and focused on a specific goal other than sharing pictures of my puppies or my raised bed garden. (Like most entrepreneurs.)
Taking them social media myself for my first workbook The Stress Less Guide: Social Media Marketing Made Easy taught me some lessons:
1. Things change. Social media is not the same as it was 3 years ago, 10 years ago, or even 1 year ago. AI and algorithms have taken over and often it feels like you're talking to robots, and not seeing your friends.
2. We can only control how we respond to change. I changed "eMarketing Director" to "The Stress Less Guide" because ultimately I want to help business owners and marketers feel less stress in a changing business world. That's how I respond to change.
3. Find your place and find your voice (over time). You'll see a variety of posts, types of newsletters, social media, and ad content here and on my website until I find my footing. While some people would argue that's not consistent (you win, it isn't!), it does allow me to see what helps people the most in a not robot, real world kind of way.

I will share best practices I learn along the way with the audience of this newsletter. Why? Because I genuinely want to help people navigate change in business. Between AI offering to write this for me and not knowing if I boost a post will only the bots see it, swamp my website, and not buy my book after all, it's the wild, wild world of marketing out there. Hopefully we can tackle it together.
Thanks for reading this newsletter, The Stress Less Guide LinkedIn page, and checking out the resources I'm creating. I'm on a mission to help people in the marketing field stress less, one workbook at a time. Learn more at (my always changing) website: https://lnkd.in/efMe3W5R
Let's stress less together,
