The difficult thing while learning from failure is identifying our mistake that lead to failure. Most of the people fail in this and they would repeat the same mistake unknowingly. To identify the mistake one must properly evaluate their work. It is also not that there would be only one mistake in one failure, if it is so then Edison might have invented the bulb after correcting his first mistake. Failure may come to you in any form career, relationship, studies etc. All we can do is finding at least one mistake in every failure and try not to repeat it again. Just like Edison did 99 times until he found the perfect bulb as a way to success.
Accepting that it's failure. Introspecting what caused it. Re-channelising your thoughts and action. Being in control of your emotions. Being thoughtful about consequences. Being Absolutely lethal and hard on your self. Conquering, ones own mind. Having vision to be upright and head high all the times. Not giving power for others to make you feel hypo/hyper,always having clarity in your self. Indulging in productive things. Reading as much as you can, implementing as little as you can to start with.
Knowing mistakes are prone when you are human but continuous Repetition again and again ,depicts lack of will and mere habituation. Realising the worth of learning from mistakes and destructive consequences without the same. First failure is an opportunity, contagious failure is choice. Knowing no one can help you in this regard, except your own will of diving for betterment and aligning to positive changes is how you can lean from mistakes ans stop being failure.
Being honest I will tell you my story which I will divide it in two parts - Earlier and Now from past few days. Earlier I barely learned from my mistakes but now I started learning from my mistakes. For instance, When I was in 12th standard I was well aware of the fact that Smart Strategy should be followed to get good marks in boards ; but rather than that I did work. And the score was 81% (not bad) but if done smartly it would have been better than this. And now-- I do things smartly. I think of the possible ways to do a work fast, with maximum efficiency. Secondly earlier my mind was fluctuated in various directions -
As when I see a good painter I envisage that I should go for painting, dancer-wanted to go for dancing and the list goes on an on. My mistake was that I was not focused on one thing and I was tempting for everything which is coming in my mind due to which I was not able to do anything. In a way, all human beings alive today can thank evolution for having slowly but constantly learnt from its mistakes over the last few thousands of years. From an individual perspective, the brain spends every waking hour checking on and learning from its environment. Most of this takes place subconsciously, of course.
Any mistake or discomfort is recorded and the brain uses chemicals (e.g. dopamine) to steer its owner away from similar situations in the future. “I can accept failure, everyone fails at something. But I can’t accept not trying.” – Michael Jordan. “Failure” Is Inevitable As an integral part of life, it teaches us invaluable lessons. It’s through defeats we learn the most. If everything we try for the first time works perfectly, we wouldn’t acquire the strength, resilience, and determination necessary to move forward despite setbacks.
For every collapse, we have the opportunity to adapt and grow from it. In return, we gain vital wisdom and experience by overcoming our utmost challenges to become powerful versions of ourselves. As you go through life, the inevitable failures don’t have to force you to a complete halt. With a growth mindset, you can view setbacks as opportunities for improvement. In moments of defeat, ask yourself: “What can I learn from this mistake?”
“How can I become better so this won’t happen again?” Digging deep in every difficult situation, you can find the answers to your immediate problems. Using what you think is a potential solution, you can tackle the obstacle head-on. However, there will be unavoidable times no matter what you try, nothing seems to work. In the midst of the struggle, it’s easy to give up. But it’s in those moments you must maintain persistence and march forward. Sometimes in order for us to break through, we must fall backward so we can catapult ourselves far ahead. It’s similar to pulling back the rubber on a slingshot to produce the energy required for a powerful strike.
Fail Successfully Forward. To have perspective, understand that everyone has experienced failure at one time or another. Otherwise, they exhibit one or both of the following traits: Not being fully honest with themselves. Didn’t try hard enough. Failure and success go hand-in-hand and it is our greatest teacher. It shows us what didn’t work. That way we can learn what not to do it next time. No matter what setbacks you’re facing, realize that someone else also has been in your exact situation before. You are not alone in your fight.Understand that the same person was able to conquer the identical obstacle under comparable circumstances. Therefore, if that individual can do it, then why can’t you? You must realize what one man can achieve, you can as well, and more much!
However, when we’re in the middle of a crisis, it can be extremely challenging to appreciate the current disaster. That’s because it takes acute self-awareness to take a step back and analyze the situation objectively. But fast forward a few years from now when the turmoil is long over, you’ll be thankful for that defining moment. It is through crushing the unique catastrophe that has allowed you to become more powerful. Now viewing failure with that positive light, you can use it as fuel to propel yourself into success. Cheers!
