How do u Turn on Your Notification From SPIRIT?
How do indigenous cultures cultivate wisdom, knowledge and connect to their INTUITION in ways that are very different from what we do in the West?
One common thread is the incredibly strong bonds formed between people and the land, or PLACE in which they live. In fact, this connection is considered, felt, expressed and experienced, as close as any family bond. And many cultures consider the land as integral to their spiritual life. The Diné people have described it this way:
“When the white man talks of relocation he talks of finding a new place to live, a new job, a new place to pray to his God…The white man can practice his religion anywhere, he does not know the earth. The Diné are different, the land is sacred to us, we cannot practice our religion elsewhere, only on the land where we are known.”
In the Dagara culture, the ancient wisdom that’s the foundation of our work; trees, rocks and animals are considered ancestors who carry the record of the ancient knowledge.
Life in this way, is lived in a complex, vibrant, multi-dimensional reality, where nature and the land become the encyclopedia and history book of the people…where the next generations go to learn, and where INTUITION receives wisdom through a known and familiar connection.
In the West? It’s barely been a minute since the idea of intuition was recognized as anything other than woo-woo. Our school format is almost entirely intellectual-based, not experiential, spiritual, or integral learning. And we grow up losing connection to the life and wisdom teeming in the world around us.
How can we call back this sacred and vital connection to the resources around us?
What if we considered that our INTUITION is a SACRED SPACE inside of us, that IS connected to a vibrant, integrally conscious reality?
This takes time to cultivate…but you can start by closing your eyes, and connecting wherever you feel it inside of you. Acknowledge it and let it know you are creating space for it…a sacred space, where transformation happens. Thank it for being there for you. And start to ask it for help and guidance. Then, when you are out in the world, and a feeling of connection comes to you...through a person, something in nature, or a symbol you see in a book…DONT discount it. Give it a minute of consideration and invite the information in.
How would your life be different if you knew you were connected to an infinite array of wisdom and inspiration?www.livingyourgifts.com/individuals
