Thanks a lot! ??????, and let's start with the bizzz
"Finally", we have an Inluencer Law in Spain... but it's the first episode of our "How Not to Do Things"
Alert, influencers! ???? Ibai and Lola Lolita will have to hang up the "advertising" sign every time they post something sponsored.
Also, no more alcohol, tobacco, or those meds that promise to make you feel brand new.
No more secrets! ??
We have been talking about the influencers law that the goverment has been working on since the last 6 months.
But....wait... surprise! They were already doing this. The new influencer law is like that new gadget everyone says you need... but you've had it for a year already. ??♂???
The Goverment green-lit the Royal Decree on April 30, flaunting Article 94 of the shiny new General Law of Audiovisual Advertising of 2023. ??
Now, our dear influencers must shout from the rooftops ?? if they’re getting paid for that post you love. Also, it bans the promotion of anything that could be bad for your health, even goodbye to body cults!
This digital curfew seeks to protect consumers and provide a legal shield to creators, but... will it really change anything? ??
Agencies specializing in influencer marketing, are crying out for a law that truly understands the ABCs of influencerism, not one that lumps them together with Netflix. ???? Most of agencies thinks this is a clear example on "How Not to Do Things".
It's like "Poner puertas al campo" (check for this one in Google ??. TuManag3r it's also bringing you the latest news and influencer marketing but also the best lessons in Spanish, including the coolest slang), since the big players in the sector were already complying with the rules.
What about the small influencers? They will indeed have to juggle ?? to adapt without losing their spark... or their followers.
The law targets "users of special relevance" with dreamy incomes and an army of followers, but those who will really feel the sting are those just starting to climb Mount Influencer. ?????
So, are we witnessing a revolution or just filling out more paperwork? Only time will tell if this new scene in influencer marketing is an episode of drama or comedy. ????
Oh, the life of an influencer never ceases to amaze, right? ??
Second episode of "How Not to Do Things"
In the second episode of "How Not to Do Things" meet Wang, a Chinese "entrepreneur" who turned his house into a like factory.
Yep, you read that right. This guy built a "brushing" empire with 4,600 second-hand mobiles, because obviously, who needs an iPhone 13 to hit 'like'? ????
Wang didn't just show us that an old phone still has some charm, but with enough of them, you can simulate a small nation adoring your livestreams. With thousands of social media accounts and an army of VPNs making each phone appear from some exotic corner of the globe, this scam genius was ready to make it rain cash. ????

His system was so on point that he could do pretty much anything with those phones: watch videos, applaud posts, click on ads, and even leave poetic comments. ?? (Mr Wang was a romantic in the end).
After running some tests and seeing that his illusion factory was working perfectly, Wang decided to rent out his black magic to other TikTok influencers craving more eyes on their videos. ????
Business was booming, and Wang pocketed 400,000 euros in just four months.??
But, like any good soap opera drama, success comes with a twist: the police weren't far behind. Turns out, no matter how many VPNs you use, when you catch the eye of the authorities, you’re in trouble! ????
In the end, Wang was arrested, and his 4,600 mobiles went on to better (or at least more legal) lives.
Sentenced to a year and three months in prison plus a fine of 6,500 euros, this accidental influencer left us with a lesson: Not all that glitters is gold... or real likes. ??.
