How do you guys stand on business for that long?

It’s a question people often ask when they see creatives keeping up with the 24/7 work routine.

Being a creative is exciting, but it comes with its own set of challenges. One of the toughest is hitting a creative block, especially when you’re under pressure. Deadlines are looming, clients are expecting the best, and suddenly, all your ideas vanish. It feels like your creativity just stops working when you need it the most.

So how do we still stand on business when things get tough? Honestly, many creatives don’t talk about those difficult moments when nothing seems to flow. The moments where you’re staring at a blank screen, and every idea feels stale. You’re trying to deliver something brilliant, but your brain just isn’t cooperating.

Here’s the thing: creative block happens to everyone. The key isn’t to avoid it—it’s learning how to handle it and keep moving forward.

1. Turn Pressure Into Fuel

This might sound hard, but it works. Instead of seeing deadlines as stress, try looking at them as a chance to get creative. Pressure can actually push your brain to work in new ways. Sometimes, the best ideas come when your options are limited, and you’re forced to think differently.

2. Take a Break, But Don’t Wander Off

When you’re stuck, sometimes all you need is a little break. Step away from the project for a few minutes go for a walk, stretch, or do something small. This helps refresh your mind. But be careful not to wander off for too long. It’s easy to use a break as an excuse to avoid work, so keep it short and come back ready to dive in.

3. Don’t Be Afraid of Bad Ideas

Some of the best ideas start as what you might think are bad ones. Under pressure, it’s easy to throw away ideas that don’t seem good enough right away. But sometimes, you just need to get everything down even the bad stuff. That’s where the magic can happen. Those "bad" ideas could evolve into something amazing if you give them a chance.

4. Surround Yourself With Inspiration

When creative block hits, it’s easy to feel isolated, like you’re the only one struggling. But creativity is all around you. Reach out to other creatives, listen to music, look at art, or just observe the world around you. Inspiration can hit when you least expect it, and seeing other creative work can help spark new ideas of your own.

5. Be Patient With Yourself

Above all, be kind to yourself. Creative block is part of the process, not a failure. We tend to expect perfection, but creativity doesn’t work like that. It comes and goes, and that’s okay. The important thing is to keep pushing through, even when it’s hard. Often, your best work will come after you’ve worked through those tough moments.

So, how do we keep standing on business for so long? We’ve learned to embrace the ups and downs of creativity. Challenges will always be there, but they don’t stop us. We keep pushing forward, knowing that the next great idea is always just around the corner. Keep standing, and most importantly, keep creating.
