How To Do Social Good In Times Of Tremendous Challenges

Social good...

Something that I strived for since I can remember - a little girl with eyes full of wonder. But later they turned into something I never imagined could happen, they became:

Eyes of a refugee.

At the end of the 20th century, I experienced the unspeakable.

Overnight, instead of going to a concert and then to school the next day, I was forced to go to a shelter.?My new normal was volunteering at the local Red Cross and supporting people in need.?I witnessed atrocities inflicted by yesterday's friends, neighbors, community members.

There were so many refugees.?

And before I knew it, I became a refugee too!

A painful, long journey eventually led me to the USA after living in four different countries, away from family and all alone.

As I quickly experienced Corporate America, Non-Profit, and Government sectors, ultimately led me to continue working with refugees from more than 120 countries.

More than half of the world was affected during the last 30 years. Hard to compute and accept.

Through this journey, I heard the echo of hundreds of thousands of voices sharing the same message:

?? Why is this happening??

?? Why are we being treated this way??

?? Why can't we all live peacefully??

So many questions that many refugees are seeking answers to this day.?

Sadly, today we are facing yet another challenge and we need more than ever your support.

As of today, this powerful organization shipped 2,401 containers of the medical supply, powered by 146,500 annual volunteer hours by serving 135 countries.
