How To Do Re -Engineering Of Mindset ?

Humans at an early phase of life unconsciously develop a mindset because of acquiring behaviors from parents and culture of community and any traumatic experiences and then that mindset keeps on continuing throughout our lives .E.g. . if someone , unfortunately had been trapped?in child abuse then what do you think that trauma could have contributed in development of Perception , thinking pattern and behaviors . I have found while interacting with many people across the globe passed through painful events in childhood , they become mistrusted towards other people and they value security and survival at top priority and they prefer to avoid taking risks , their marital relationship badly hamper because of continuously remain skeptical towards partner and being over controlling . Similarly their workplace behaviors drive in the same way either their relationships with peers or with supervisors or overall tendency towards customers and management policies as well . It is undoubtedly painful that at phase of life of less wisdom , people pass through trauma's but alarmingly , I am amazed to see that people don't even bother to know why they are thinking and doing what they are thinking and doing and where those repetitive thoughts are coming from , how past trauma is impacting the present and future .?

Environmental conditioning plays critical role in shaping us and that force keeps on busy in impacting cognitive patterns like if in any society , there is lack of proper resources , and people compete with one another for similar resources then overall you will find those individuals will be very much competitive in nature and mostly if that individual have faced some negative consequences in past by losing resources and imagine when that individuals combine to become Team in any corporate sector then they become competitive towards one another and critical as well , there will be conflict quite often arising in that team and as a team they will not be as a unit , they will just physically look like a team but will not be psychologically as a team .

Parenting , if they become very critical towards their kids then they become either very rebellious in nature or lose self worth and love and throughout life strive through self esteem challenges. While working in a team , they can be rebellious towards organizational rules and higher authorities or in the second case they will be working with a helpless mindset that they are not capable of making a change , they don't deserve to be respected , they need to continuously adapt to others standards .

To summarize , these forces have a very strong influence in developing?mindset and shaping present and future and in most of the cases people are not aware of their impacts .

How to Re Engineering the Mindset??

  • Evaluate your Parenteral Influence

Assess deeply what behaviors , style of thinking , value systems you have chosen as default patterns from your parents . You can predict by knowing the “ Should '' in your linguistic on a daily basis which might be serving as your principal standard operating procedure . You may understand which of those patterns are serving you and distinguish which are not serving you and causing some trouble for you . You may be in a situation where your default parenterally acquired behavior?might be in contradiction of the requirement of the current situation . You can update your rules, S.O.P,s , values by building your self awareness at a deeper level .

  • Evaluate your Trauma ,s

Understand how your past traumas?have influenced repetitive thoughts , perception , belief systems , need developments and motivation , action taking strategies . Find out how traumatic event perception you are imposing on other areas of your life where situation might be totally different like suppose if someone's had been deceived in relationship , he might think that every female / male are not capable to be trusted , all are liars etc , Imagine how this generalization will impact your interpersonal relationships.

  • ?Re Evaluate your Belief Systems

Suppose you hold belief about your identity “ that you are not creative “ and in doing your job , your boss in one meeting announces and shows trust on you by recommending you to lead the cross functional team in a creative project which will drive the future growth of the organization . Now , after listening to the word creative where you have self limiting beliefs then spontaneously , fear , uncertainty , anxiety can trigger in you and negative visualization that your real self identity will be right in front of others when you will fail in this project that will intensify the anxiety . You can better understand how you will lead the project and and how much productivity you will produce by leading with this negative mindset . This is the power of limiting beliefs in generating negative thoughts, emotions and behaviors . You can re-evaluate your belief systems. How did you form them ? What evidence?is holding them ? Are they true / untrue ? What belief can you develop to replace self limiting beliefs ?

  • Resolve Cognitive Distortions

Distortion means to conclude what that might not have meant . Distortion happens when considering factors that are not holistic in nature E.g. Your spouse says “ you don't love me “ you inquire how do you come to know ? She answers “ Because you don't appreciate my look in today, s function , it shows you don’t love me . See how she considered irrelevant factors to make a conclusion .There are many examples of cognitive distortions which unconsciously deprive productivity . Review the holistic nature of situation , project , task before making a conclusion and initially it is required to be solid evidence driven rather than emotions driven .

  • Resolve Inner Conflicts

Inner conflicts develop when?conscious?and unconscious minds contradict one another . Suppose your conscious mind says that you should leave your job while the unconscious mind says keep on availing the benefits of the job and stay in your comfort zone . Inner conflicts reduce decision making abilities by adding a lot of confusion , uncertainty and self doubts . Inner conflicts are resolved by parts integration and value alignments and also through polarity exercises which require professional interventions . You can do it by thinking that what you want to do is aligned with your purpose , mission of your life ? What will you be after 5 / 10 years?if you start doing it today?? What will you be after 5/ 10 years , if you avoid doing it ?
