Massive action.
No fear, no shame, pure vulnerability, and commitment.
Creating momentum for a new business is pivotal for early success.
Momentum lays the groundwork for your business and helps you quickly learn what will work and won’t work. Getting through the first few months of your business with as much action as possible will be the greatest teacher. The initial generated momentum will allow for mistakes early on and form the rolling snowball needed to maintain consistent business.
New businesses spread the word through:
These three actions make up what I call The Momentum Launchpad Framework.
A Social Commitment
Once you start your new business you are now synonymous with that business.
When people buy your services, they are buying you. Don’t shy away from this fact. Commit to your business and make sure everyone knows about it through social media.
3 tips for making a social commitment:
Tip #1: Make an announcement.
Tip #2: Talk about your ‘why.’
Tip #3: Post EVERY SINGLE DAY.
Your commitment will communicate to your customer avatar that you are bound and determined to earn their business.
Massive Outreach
Email and text your sphere of influence letting them know about your new business.
This is different than your social content strategy. This is about directly communicating with one individual person one text or email at a time. It’s personal, it’s memorable, and it’s the quickest way to get your first handful of customers.

3 reasons for massive outreach:
Reason #1: Heartstrings – Reaching out directly to someone gives you an opportunity to emotionally connect with them over your new business, telling them why you are starting it and how much it would mean to you to have them work with you or refer you.
Reason #2: Relationship – “The more hands you shake, the more money you make.” Develop and maintain your relationships through personal outreach, not just social media. Ask them how they’re doing, let them know you miss them, and wish them the best. They’ll be much more likely to hire you or refer you.
Reason #3: Ask – Personal outreach through text or email gives you the opportunity to make a direct ask to your sphere of influence. After your initial message, ask the person you are reaching out to if they would need your product or service. If not, ask them if they know of anyone that could need your product or service.
It’s called ‘massive outreach’ for a reason. Don’t shy away from contacts that you haven’t spoken to in a long time.
Fearless and shameless massive outreach.
Influencer Partnerships
Who is in front of your target customer?
Identify 3 types of people that have the highest potential of referring you to your customer. Once you have 3 types identified, call them, and introduce yourself. Don’t text or email, call them.
3 steps to forming influencer partnerships:
Step #1: Focus on 3 – Find 3 and stay focused on them.
Step #2: Double Down on What Works – Find out what’s working then double your efforts on the best type of influencer.
Step #3: Follow Up with Email – Add your influencers to your email list and stay in touch.
Even with a poor business plan, using The Momentum Launchpad Framework, any new business can get the word out quickly, find quick success, and early momentum.
