There are lots of ways influencers can find ad partnerships with companies and visa versa. I am going to break this down from a brand's perspective and an influencer’s perspective. Both methods are streamlined ways we recommend to our brands and our tribe, respectively.
If you are an influencer keen to find more ad partnerships with companies:
- Prepare for success. Make a ‘wish list’ of brands that you would like to work with that align well with your values, messaging, and brand.
- Next, ensure your media kit is up to date. This is the perfect tool to let show these companies your brand, successful projects, what makes you amazing, and why they should be partnering with you.
- Once you have your wish list & media kit organized, reach out to start the conversation with their team, introduce yourself, create a relationship with them and let them know why you would be a perfect fit to represent their brand. It’s all about open communication.
- Be active. It takes time to find ad partnerships. To continuously build up your network of contacts, ask for referrals, and increase your profile in the meantime to organically attract more ad partnerships.
If you are a brand keen to find more ad partnerships with influencers:
Adding influencers to your strategy will boost your visibility, increase brand awareness, and drive sales.
To get influencers on your radar, be sure to reach out to them, introduce them to your brand, and see if there is genuine alignment between their profile and your brand. It takes time and effort to solidify successful ad partnerships. Here is a 4 steps process to follow to ensure you are reaching out to the RIGHT influencer.
- Make sure the influencer is active
- Is the influencer authentic & well aligned?
- Are they talking to your target market (ie. Business Owners & Individuals)
- Is the influencer well engaged with their audience (AKA your target market)?
