How do I Trade?

How do I Trade?

My answer to a question from a friend who has just started Trading. Traders have different ways of trading the market. As an engineer by profession, all I want is to automate my trade as I don’t want to spend the whole day watching charts. Although I was not successful in developing an algorithm, which can run 24/7 without intervention but I was able to reduce my intervention to 5 minutes per day, which would mean it’s automatically doing the trades for me for 23 hours and 55 minutes a day. That’s good enough for me.

So before going to work, I use my 5 minutes to monitor the market and choose what will I tell the robot to trade for me for that day. So I have arranged a profile of different flatform such as shares/equities, metals, bitcoin, commodities, currency pair etc.. And I scan it quickly as it is already pre-programmed,  looking for a Graph that is “ranging” and does not have scheduled big news for that day which can cause a breakout.

Then I will configure my APVEA robot to do the trading for me by clicking the “AUTO TRADING” button as per below illustration and the robot will open and close the trade for me based on my algorithm.

Being an Inventor with a number of Patents as per below link

APVEA auto-trading robot has so far my greatest Invention. It automatically opens and closes trades for me while I'm working, sleeping, having lunch, dinner etc..

And just having to spend 5 minutes a day as it is not yet capable of running on it's own 24/7 without intervention.

All done in 5 minutes. (Scanning the “ranging” graph  + pressing the auto trading)

Then I monitor my trading performance using a reputable third-party verification and strategy analysis tool ‘Myfxbook’. Please see my current performance as per below illustration.

My favorite analysis from Myfxbook is the “DRAWDOWN”, as this can tell how consistent you are in your trading strategy. The lower the drawdown, the better but it’s very difficult to maintain it.

It's a habit of mine to turn off the Robot every Friday night. It ended up with a profit gain of 100.97%, it's up by 10.86% from my last post which is yesterday at 90.11%. Once my profit reaches 100%, then I usually withdraw it. So it's purely rolling profit that my robot is trading. This time , I will not withdraw the profit gain, but instead let's continue to monitor the robot trading performance. This is how I trade. And it's time to enjoy the "back to level 1 " weekend...

Have checked the Robot performance this morning and it is at 90.11% profit and up by 23.04% since I posted this last March 4, 2021. Not bad for a 5 days work by the robot comparing it with the current term savings interest bank rate of 0.8% per annum. Will continue to monitor this robot trading performance. Happy Trading....
