How do I manage my team? This is a question I’ve been asked several times


Having spent many years in the industry, particularly in airport ground supervision, I have firsthand experience of the challenges and rewards that come with working in this demanding field. At Avia Maldives, I’ve leveraged the lessons learned from my experiences to address the shortcomings I encountered, creating the most conducive work environment for my team.

One of my core beliefs is that we spend a significant portion of our lives at work, so achieving a balance between work and personal life is essential. I strive to ensure that our team does not feel the weight of a daily routine but rather approaches each day with excitement and enthusiasm. My goal is for the transition from home to the office to be as comfortable as moving from your bedroom to your living room.

By fostering a positive and supportive work culture, I aim to inspire my team to thrive and enjoy their time at work.


Trust the team?

Trusting the team is essential for fostering a productive work environment. Each team member must feel that they are genuinely trusted by the company to work autonomously. This trust empowers them to unlock their full potential.


However, it's important to recognize that not everyone operates in the same way. Each individual brings a unique set of talents to the table. I believe that by guiding our team members to fully harness their strengths, we can transform our collective effort into a well-oiled machine. When every member is engaged and utilizing their talents, the entire team can achieve remarkable results.

"Never hold them down." This principle is vital, as humans have an innate desire to explore and learn. It's essential to create an environment that encourages growth within the team.?

Implementing monthly training sessions and engagement workshops, along with enjoyable team outings, has been crucial for our development. These initiatives not only enhance skills but also foster a sense of camaraderie, ensuring that everyone feels supported in their journey of growth. By nurturing an atmosphere that values exploration and learning, we empower our team to reach their full potential.


Embrace and Implement Ideas

Harnessing ideas from multiple minds is far more effective than relying on a single perspective.
