Here are some things to look for to know if your windows are Energy Star qualified:

• The blue Energy Star logo
• The manufacturer's name, model number, and testing metrics, such as U-factor
• The NFRC label, which can be found on all Energy Star qualified windows, doors, and skylights
• The label shows the climate zones where the window will perform best
• The label complies with the current Energy Star Eligibility Criteria

Energy Star determines its ratings based on information from the National Fenestration Rating Council (NFRC), which tests windows in five different categories across four different U.S. locations.
