How do I go from dreaming about it and learning about it to doing it?

Today I would like to share some of my Son's work and where he was in hoping to see and learning about things in class to actually being close to them and seeing them. While this may be personal it does have a business parallel. My Son used to just be consumed with sharks and sea creatures as most elementary-age boys are but how did he get from this to a front-row seat at seeing all this up close and personal? He was able to do this because someone took a chance on him(Dad) I and sent him to get scuba certified. The parallel is how do we get from the coloring phase to the seeing and doing phase? Someone has to take a chance on us or we have to take a chance on our self and invest in ourselves so we can get to the next step. This investment and these steps will not always be easy, much like transitioning from the military. This activity is mandatory fun for all who join the military at some point it might be for four years later or thirty years later, but something that will help us to be able to play better on the outside in that post-military opportunity is preparation and training. There are many folks out there who would like to help us land on our feet very well and to do as well and better in our post-military setting but we also have to invest just like I invested in my son to get him Scuba certified so he could see all these things. Many times someone we know will invest time or offer opportunities to us based on potential, seize the moment and make your mark.

This is very informal but do take some time and give your dreams thought and put action on them and network so that the opportunity to go from second-hand information to being in the know and doing and acting on what you want to do can become a reality for you.
