It's pretty simple. You do some research on them, then reach out to them by sending them a message.
This is what I would say.
Hi ______,
My name is Leonard. I don't have an original idea. I don't even have a LLC or C Corp. I want to give you some imaginary % of my nonexistent company. I have about $200 in the bank. I have a proven track record of failing at startups. I have a limited knowledge of many industries. I don't have a prototype or anything like that. I played a key role at now-dead startups. I have a rolodex of, oh wait, never mind. These are candies called Rolo. I am worshipped in my field as a loser.
I have nothing, not even nothing yet. However, I have a heart to offer. See, I can draw it here.
<3
Would you like to be my technical cofounder?
Yours Respectfully,
Leonard Kim
Then maybe you want to post some documentation on what you're actually good at as attachments, like what is specifically in the red boxes.
(Stats as of December 31, 2013. First post contributed on May 15, 2013. Second post contributed on June 20, 2013.)
Hopefully, you have a lot more to offer than I do though. Otherwise, they may not want to partner up with you...
P.S. I'm available and my inbox is open for serious inquiries.
