Forget about a "plan" - get a mission instead.

Take these actions TODAY:

  • First identify the learning outcome. What is the strongest lesson you could possibly teach someone else about money? Example: "I want to teach everyone in Burlington County, NJ to retire on less than $500,000."
  • Second, figure out the best way to deliver that information. If you are a good writer, start blogging. If you are good at speaking, consider podcasts, videos, or webinars.
  • Produce one high quality piece a month.
  • Distribute it via email newsletter and social media (both postings and direct messages)
  • Try it for three months.
  • Assess progress and realign if it's not working.

Start with the mission - it should be something you are truly fired up about that has high relevance to your targets.


If you aren't skilled enough to do that, take time and get those skills before marketing yourself.
