How do CRM-systems help people and business in real life?

Recently, during the work we faced an interesting question - What is CRM and why is it needed, how does it help in the life and business of people?

It would seem a simple question, and we wanted to quickly answer it.

Just, Okey Google and look at Wikipedia 

But in fact, this question was more philosophical and practical than theoretical, we had to consciously answer it and use the examples from our work to confirm it. Moreover, the person who asked this question had sufficient knowledge about the technologies and capabilities of CRM systems and applied these in business.

So, at first we tried to use common, dry business terms and definitions, but this did not fit for our practical goal.

Then we decided to isolate the object and arrange the questions. Guess how? - Well, on the Golden Circle: Why? How? What? See last topic or ask Google.

We had the following questions:

Why do companies use or do they need to use CRM?
How do they usually use them, for what tasks?
What do they get in total, what are the benefits?

We combined the answers in our samples within the meaning and identified the most varied and unusual ones, for example:

This list can be continued with a lot of items, but go to the next part.

What is the result? - Of course the money! :) But there was something else, something not material:

Answers and examples to questions from the title of the article liked our friend.

Now he is convinced that if people in your business work at any stage, you need to use CRM solutions. This will help to preserve, strengthen, develop and correctly manage the business.

But! After little thought our friend asked us new questions:

Well, What CRM is more useful? 
What CRM is allowed to achieve such great results and gave such amazing advantages? 
What do you need that CRM is correctly working?
