There a numerous change methods to assist those leading and delivering change, (we've catalogued 48 change related supports). However, we are less clear about the level of support change leaders/managers individually receive or seek beyond methods and skills.
Before jumping to conclusions we are conducting research into the current levels of support (self or from others)
The rationale for that is based on experience of seeing a number of change managers that on reflection do not seem to be in in the best place to perform, but seem to press on regardless, resulting in impacts on themselves and others that may not be as they would wish.
Reflecting on other professionals such as coaches, counsellors and psychiatrists who have active supervision as part of their ongoing practice. Change managers don't seem to have supervision as a matter of course, or it could just be a limit of my own experiences.
We have created a 4 minute survey here and the aim is the share results in an aggregated form. All responses are anonymous. https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/change-support
We would really value your insight.
