How did you spend April 2020 ?

The world has changed dramatically over the first three months of 2020. There have been big jump in digital activities. Malls, theaters, society have all gone for a toss and staying at home has perceived us safe. It is an unprecedented experience, many are going through a rough phase and finding it challenging to deal with the abrupt change in lifestyle.

We are involving with the thought to adopt the change. We are here seeking an attempt to manage time properly during this stay at home span so that we can invest the time in relevant concerns.

·       Video calling and checking out at family is taking the center stage.

·       In a perspective, this is a much needed break to catch up on hobbies which we were too busy to pursue before and time to rekindle old friendships.

·       Reading – I buy books wherever I go, download ebooks. Few of these books were either unread or halfway left abruptly. So I did look up to them. My current reads are Malgudi Days, Tuesdays with Moorie, A Happy Girl. I’m trying to instill a habit of reading everyday and there are still many left in the pipeline.

·       Writing – It has helped me a lot in inculcating a positive outlook towards life, always given me a new stance about the world.

·       Walk – A gentle stroll in a confined space rolling the curated playlist keeps me pleasant.

·       Cooking – I got my hands on basic cooking, experimenting new dishes, cakes and was happy on the outcome.

·       Working From Home – Was saving it for the last. Learning and trying to get exposed to this phase is challenging and happening. Being available and conducting myself for calls and meetings from the home space is new. Travelling time on the road is saved, hence there is more space of our own.

I had read this by Germany Kent –

Think about every good thing in your life right now. Free yourself of worrying. Let go of the anxiety, breathe. Stay positive, all is well.

As every cloud has a silver lining, even if you couldn’t be effectual in the due course, there is absolutely no hush. You are healing and progressing the way you are.

I’m thankful to April for giving me a perfect harmony of Work and Me-time !

Take a conscious decision to be happy and positive because happiness is an inside job. Take a control of your life and realise how beautiful it is in this present moment.

I'm not liking this at all. I'm not able to go home I'm not able to catch up with friends. I'm so much drowning with work that I have no time for books and other activities such as walks. I'm cooking with whatever is available at home. Although, this is one skill I have learnt. I have learnt to be not dependent on maids. Yet, I don't like this. I' m a social person and sitting at home totally locked up is like a death penalty for me. However, to save myself and others, I will have to bear with this and support the lockdown rules.
