How did we get here?

How did we get here?

Oh my goodness how are we over halfway through April already?!

I'm half in denial about Summer being over, but then I get a little bit excited about warm comfort food for dinner again and it doesn't seem as bad. Ask me if I still feel the same in August though.

This time of year is a good time to start preparing yourself for the mental impacts of reduced sunshine hours. On that topic, April is stress awareness month so I wrote a blog post with what I think are some shit hot tips for managing stress, to avoid overwhelm and burnout

Grab those tips for managing stress here!

Let's get serious

Are you someone that constantly talks about needing to make improvements, but then you don't actually set aside the time for taking action?

You know that nobody is magically coming to rescue you right? You have to take the first brave step. And I know it is hard to open up to someone else, but I promise it makes all the difference!

If you're ready to get out of your own way and take the next big step towards your success, I've got some spaces available from May for tailored training and coaching.

I'm ready, let's chat about my options!

Delegation for the win

One thing that can cause stress, is being unable to get through all of the little (and boring) tasks involved in your own business. Some you'd rather saw your own face off than do, but then there are the ones that are not your skill set but cost too much to outsource.

Have you ever considered how much it costs for you to do those yourself instead of paying someone else to do them? Serious question. If it takes an expert an hour to do a job, how many hours did you waste learning and figuring it out yourself? How much paid work could you have charged other people for in that time?

While we often consider the costs we "save" by doing things ourselves, we rarely consider how much it actually costs for us to do this stuff. And I know. I'm one of those DIY types too. I like to understand processes, but I'm getting better at letting go. I outsource the jobs I'm not good at a lot more than I actually do these days, but I can always improve in this.

My biggest stumbling block is knowing where to stop that bottleneck.

Luckily, I know some people that are experts in this space. And Kate MacGregor from Out of Office is someone that lives and breathes her business name.

If you're like me and could use some tips, then get yourself booked in for Kate's free online workshop delegation for the win this Thursday morning.
