HOW DID WE GET HERE?

Okay, we need to get some things cleared up, folks. Let's address the conspiracy theories and straight up fear mongering used to suppress and shift votes this election cycle. The '94 Crime Bill was signed by everyone including the Congressional Black Caucus, not just Biden. Everyone was freaked out in '94 because the drug epidemic was out of control. They didn’t know what to do. The American people demanded something be done. I lived in Cali and Jersey and spent every waking moment I could all over the streets of New York in the 90's, and unless you’ve lived in cities outside of small towns, you’d know that things were horrible. It affected my surroundings growing up. I’ve witnessed it first hand. Did the bill have horrible repercussions? Of course. But at the end of the day, drugs are illegal. Non-violent crimes are still crimes. We have to understand that the law was, and is the law, and we now have the power to make change. Do I agree things have to change? Duh. Trump however, is not the President to start the process.

Also, when it comes to getting angry at the minorities who voted for Trump, it's important to understand why, and how by underestimating the power of his hateful rhetoric, we are now in this position. Rappers like Ice Cube and 50 Cent and Especially Kanye, did African American's a great disservice. When you have a voice representing the culture, and millions of people (Mainly our youth) look up to you...you have a moral obligation to do what's right for people who are oppressed. Where was Cube’s energy before Trump? It's always been F*** the police until it affected his pockets. And 50 cent, although a well known internet troll, this was not the time to play with the severity of this situation. You can get rich and die trying, but not twice, right? The greed within individuals is truly sickening and it's real.

To my independents, although I respect your right to vote for whoever you wanted to vote for, this was not the election to vote against Biden. Fundamentally, your values are not far from Conservatives either. Yes you didn't like Trump, and yes you want to legalize weed and end war...but you also fell for Conservative conspiracy theories and added to the unnecessary Biden hate. You also believed ANTIFA was an organization just because it was given a name, completely overlooking the WHY protests and riots are happening til this day while disregarding the illegal federal activity causing confusion and more chaos. You voted for a party that you knew had zero chance of winning to vote against the one candidate that had any real chance to get rid of the menace we have in office today.

The biggest issue out of this election is that Trump knew exactly how to freak POC out and get their vote. The rich Puerto Rican’s or Puerto Rican’s and Mexican's that have wealth support him. Cubans who came from Cuba, which also is a HUGE population in Miami, supported him because he convinced them Biden is a Communist and Socialist. This is why good leadership is important. People rely on what leaders say instead of doing research. The greedy are also easily impressionable. He sold these ideals and played against Democratic Socialism that has already long-paid for things like our flu shots, welfare, street signs, stop lights, our military, etc.. Also, Democratic socialists reject most self-described socialist states and Marxism–Leninism. Google why these ideals became tarnished due to corruption in other countries. Any political ideology can be abused, even Capitalism.

Don't get me on the argument of taxes and pro-lifers. If you are not making $400,000.00 or more a year, please go somewhere. And pro-lifers, where is your energy when kids are being separated from families at the border and are missing by the hundreds. Where is your energy for the homeless in which you support laws preventing us to feed or care for on the streets? Will you still be Pro-Life years later if that fetus you love so much discovers it's homosexual, bi, trans, non-nary? And #savethechildren was unfortunately a Conservative plot that started with Hilary and used to make you believe Biden is a pedophile. No proof. No research. Just lies. #PizzaGate. And yet, while Trump is sitting on case after case getting settlements passed to have them thrown out, bragging about grabbing women anywhere he wants, admitting to fondling young girls at pageants he owned, embracing white supremacy, neglecting a global pandemic, race bating, gas-lighting, having pedophiles and criminals as friends, declaring media as an enemy of the state, and obviously being one of the most corrupt individuals on the planet...you still voted for him. And now...voter fraud. Sigh.

I won't point fingers, you all know who you are. I simply ask you take this time to reflect, reboot and do better by truly educating yourselves and pulling away from the Republican party. Seriously. This isn't football. You are actually affecting human lives with decisions. Party was placed before country these last four years. I don't see you as Republicans, Democrats, or Independents; I see you as Americans. I'm not coming you as a Democrat. If a Republican or Independent ran on a moral platform, I'd vote for them. It's called putting country before party. It is our differences that make this country absolutely beautiful. It is the overall morality of its citizens that make America the greatest. We must address racial inequality. We must come together to not only acknowledge it, accept it and ask for forgiveness, but work together to end it. Many have made mistakes. And guess what? That's okay. We are all perfectly - imperfect. From my heart of hearts, I encourage you all to look deep within yourselves and use this experience to have real, educational and constructive conversations with those who have lived privileged lives, and those who have suffered oppression. It is perspective that will drive your understanding and your empathy that will forever build America into what we want it to be for our children and future generations.
