How Did We Get to #FBCS?
To grow our Village and support our community, we have to understand our clients and what their values are, right? So that’s what we did. We invested time and talent in our customers. Who is our village—both community and people—and what do they need from their local bank?
What we found was exciting. Our Village is full of HARDWORKING, FAMILY-FOCUSED, WILLING TO ROLL UP THEIR SLEEVES, HUMBLE people that want a bank they can trust, that knows their stories and will do the right thing for their businesses and families. I LOVE that because that is who I am, who my dad is, and who our Villagers are. We were excited to craft something that communicated our values in a way that our Village would resonate with.
Our Village values are:
1. Put Relationships First
2. Earn It Every Day
3. Own It
4. Build Something Special
5. Do the Right Thing
That is how FAMILY-BUILT, COMMUNITY STRONG came to life.
FAMILY-BUILT is where families grow and thrive, businesses are built, and dreams become reality. Although Village Bank is family-built, we like to think the family that built it is more than just ours; it’s truly our employees, customers, and community partners.
COMMUNITY STRONG is supporting the people of our community who live here, work here, raise families here, and grow businesses that positively impact the local economy. We do everything in our power to make our community stronger because we live here, work here, and raise families here too.
If you ask me what Village Bank means to me, I’d tell you its home. It’s not just home because my dad founded it 27 years ago—its home because there’s a sense of pride, a belonging, and a responsibility that I feel at Village Bank. With Family-Built, Community Strong, every one of our customers truly belongs in our Village.

4 年I Find it really interesting about how it can be hard for companies to do the right thing and is best for the customer and build that relationship. Would you rather be known for scamming people and ruining your reputation for a quick sale, or help that person for life and have them involved in how great your community is!
