How Did Wasting Time Become a Trending Topic?

Certain men do nothing on flights. They don't watch movies, sleep (you never sleep comfortably on an airplane), eat or read. That is your right. Life is a limited commodity. This is now called "Raw dogging a flight".

The phrase is vulgar. It reminds me that I neither joined the Mile High Club nor would I want to. Is this another reason to hate Tik Tok? I write on airplanes. In fact, I am more recognized writing long hand on flights than I shall ever be recognized for years of LinkedIn articles.

Where do you think ideas come from? I am focused while traveling. Is it an example of "Living my best life?" That phrase is corny. There is always room for improvement. Granted, when you try watching movies on flights the captain interrupts with useless messages. Not "We are experiencing turbulence" or something urgent.

Wasting the time on an airplane is nothing to brag about. Some say it is better than looking at your phone. I keep mine in airplane mode and find better things to do. On my most recent flight there were friendly, talkative people around me.

My neighbor was returning from a Munich River Cruise. She had one flight remaining and a three hour drive before she and her husband could sleep in their own beds. To my left was a couple with a three year old. Imagine telling a baby to stare at the seat in front of him. They were friendly.

The lady in the window seat kept to herself. That's fine. Maybe it is relaxing. You have nothing to show for it.

I had so many social options there was less time to write. So be it. Flying is something I do frequently. It never feels like a chore. It is an adventure. Visiting a new city or a returning to familiar territory- invest in yourself.

There was no Tik Tok when we worked together. He seemed friendly enough. He worked in another department. When I saw him at lunch he stared at a wall. He didn't even want to possibly have someone say hello to him. I recall nothing else about him and he was not friendly.

You don't have to be. Wouldn't the next level of this be putting yourself in a coma for the duration of the flight? At the end of your life when you are wishing you had more time, remember how you spent the time allotted.
