How did I crack PSPO I?

How did I crack PSPO I?

Hey!

Hope you are enjoying a good state of body and mind :)

I am sure like all of us, you have very limited time for this read so I will try to keep it precise.

What was the authorization body?

Scrum.org

How did I start with it?

Well, I wanted to get the certification very soon!

I didn't want to do the process on my own, so I chose to go through Simplilearn. (No endorsement, I am just sharing my path ;))

But you can also directly go through Scrum.org without a middleman (Simplilearn, in my case).

What was the process?

I had a Two-Day training program facilitated by Scrum.org and Simplilearn. The trainer was awesome!! Some concepts were known to me and got revised, many were new.

The best part was that it had people of diverse experiences, ages, and companies (many big ones!) together. It was nice to get to know varied perspectives and experiences. There were group activities that put our knowledge into practice. Overall, great fun!

How did I Prepare?

I had blindly trusted the trainer, simple. If he told us that something was imp, I made it a priority. My goal wasn't to get a 100/100. I just wanted to learn as much as I could and pass the exam. Learning was more imp for me!

Apart from this, I went through Scrum.org Resources and gave a lot of mock tests for PO and Scrum Master.

I also googled past experiences of people who had taken this exam and learned from their experiences.

I really enjoyed the learning process! The certificate was just a byproduct.

All about the exam

I didn't wait long for my attempt since learning will never end :).

As soon as I felt I was confident, I went for the exam. Just the week after my training. It was a little difficult to manage the prep. with the office, but anyway, I liked it :)

The exam included MCQs, Multiple Ans, and True/False. Basics of agile and scrum will help. The training helped a lot!

In my exam, there were a lot of case study-based questions. (This does not always happen, I have observed that the questions and their difficulty vary with different people). I feel, if you are a bit lucky case study-based questions can be less which makes it relatively easy. Nevertheless, even the case studies were fun to solve!

Below are some key points that I will suggest to take care.

  • Keep an eye on the time clock.
  • Solve the ones that you are confident about first. Bookmark others to come later and solve.
  • Give Scrum.org's open assessment multiple times, 1-2 questions might come directly from it (if you are lucky ;))
  • Don't overwhelm yourself by studying too much. Refer limited resources and mostly scrum.org.
  • Do not cheat :)

When do you get the results?

Very soon, just after your exam.

You will get the results and the certificate too on your email, if you pass.

Hope this helps!

If there's anything else that you want to know, just comment and if I can, I will sort that out!

All the BESTTT :)

TAKE CARE!! :)
