How did I achieve PfMP Certification

Last week, we completed an important step in my professional journey. On October 31, I obtained the PfMP credential I had dreamed of. I thank the Lord Jesus, my wife Patrícia, my children Guilherme, Giovanna and Francisco; and my mentor Dharam Singh PfMP, PgMP, PMP, PMI-ACP, SP, PBA, RMP, DASM, DASSM, PMI-ATP ( vCare Project Management )
Obtaining the PfMP certification from PMI is a journey that few dare to undertake. With only 2,153 people certified worldwide and 497 in the United States, this certification is a true symbol of excellence and exclusivity. For comparison purposes, there are 402,024 PMPs in the United States. In Brazil, the gap is even greater: 15,274 PMPs and just 9 PfMPs.
My quest to obtain the PfMP certification began with the decision to stand out in the field of portfolio management. I knew that the PfMP certification would not be easy, but I was committed to proving my skills and knowledge. Preparation involves intense study, reviewing materials, participating in courses and mock exams, and applying the concepts in real projects.

The exam itself was a challenge. With complex questions that tested not only my theoretical knowledge, but also my ability to apply this knowledge in practical situations, each question was a litmus test. The feeling of passing the exam was indescribable, a mixture of depression and pride.
The exclusivity of the PfMP certification reflects the rigor and dedication required to achieve it. Being part of this select group of certified professionals is a recognition of my commitment to excellence in project and portfolio management. This achievement has not only elevated my career, but also provided me with a new perspective on the importance of strategic portfolio management for organizational success.
This journey has been full of challenges, but each obstacle overcome has become an even more rewarding victory. The PfMP certification is more than a title; it is a testament to my dedication and passion for portfolio management.
