However, demand from the US market has supported the finished diamond prices despite global economic uncertainty. Talking about India's diamond market, the rupee is at a record low of 80 per dollar. Hence, the market remains uncertain amid exchange rate fluctuations. The diamond industry is also evaluating a new mechanism to enable international trade in rupees.
