How to deweaponize aid?

Palestine isn’t free; that’s obvious. But is Israel really free either?

FACT — Israel could not perform genocidal and ethnic-‘cleansing’ war without the United States. How “free” is Israel?. . .

“Weaponizing Aid How aid dependency maintains colonialism in Palestine” pdf not only provides a blueprint for a free Palestine — But ALSO for a free Israel (‘one state’ – ‘two states’ – ‘confederacy’…Robert E. Lee, don’t get out of the grave yet!).

In its Introduction, ‘This Deep Dive aims to expose how aid towards Palestine is being instrumentalized to pursue donor interests, impose damaging neoliberal policies, criminalize civil society, hinder CSO-led Triple Nexus initiatives, and undermine the Palestinian struggle for self-determination and liberation. The research also forwards a Triple Nexus approach that is people-centered, based on solidarity and social justice, as a way to address the root causes of conflict and forward sustainable development for Palestine and other conflict-ridden contexts.’

LATER ON, I SHALL DEFINE CERTAIN TERMS WHICH AT LEAST BAFFLED ME, SUCH AS ‘CSO’.

The pdf contains a list of recommendations for donor countries and multilateral institutions, as well as a list for CSOs, to implement measures ensuring aid and assistance benefitting fragile countries, people groups and individuals—what I might consider an extension of the Universal Human Rights Declaration of the UN.

Contained also is a warning — One that I learned through 12-Step meetings and personal experience: Palestinian (AND Israeli) recovery are like attempting to recover from an ADDICTION. . .which is cunning, baffling, and powerful.

Only 11 pages long, the pdf backs up its statements with 49 abundant endnotes. Therefore, do not be so deceived by the “lack” of pages. . .for its 11 pages encapsulate, I’m afraid, much more evidence than what the naked eye perceives.

Below – as promised – are definitions provided by my AI Copilot:

  1. ‘Triple Nexus is an approach that emphasizes the integration of development, peacebuilding, and humanitarian efforts to address the roots of conflict and state fragility.’ It then provides some context and information about it.
  2. CSO stands for Civil Society Organization.
  3. ‘The Humanitarian-Development-Peace Initiative (HDPI) is a collaborative effort between the United Nations and the World Bank Group. It aims to address the complex challenges faced by countries affected by fragility, conflict, and violence.’
  4. In summary, ‘Fragile countries face significant challenges related to governance, institutions, and social stability, while people groups and individuals affected by fragility include vulnerable and marginalized communities, conflict-affected populations, displaced persons, children and youth, women and girls, and economically disadvantaged individuals.’
