How to ‘ve best practice Turnaround EHSS plan ? where EHSS stands for Environment , Health, Safety & Security
#Oilandgas?industry and?#petrochemical?plants are hazardous in nature which require extra measures to save precious lives.
Ideally?#turnaround?#EHSS?plan should be “ EVENT SPECIFIC “ otherwise it shall be a copy of standards only.
It should be guiding plant visitors about the site hazards and actions announced
It shall have :
??List of High risk items in major scope of current TA with mitigations
??List of JSA / risk assessments to be prepared.
??Real EHSS organization structure with names
??TA Campaigns plan / Audit plan / tool box talk topic with clear names , day and time
??Lessons learnt in previous turnarounds and changes updated in EHSS Plan.
??Any special & specific arrangements particular to site and process related action
??security measures and gate access time required to pass peak man power in minimum time
??Max. no. of people allowed in confined space
??Air changes per hour planned for major confined space
??Work permit compliance audit and mock drill measures
TA Process Safety plan is getting popular also
Human fatigue ( e.g 1 day rest after 13 days continuous work for > 10 hours daily)

EJ Lister added "?The most important thing to remember: once you've established your HSE Strategy, communication/orientation/education is vital in order to establish a Safety Culture. This goes with each Stakeholder Strategy & Function Plan; e.g., Permitting, Confined Space, JSA, Waste Management, Reporting, Audits, etc."
