How to Design and Build Landing Pages
To create a successful business, its necessary to convert and direct your new visitors into the areas that they are potentially interested in. Oftentimes as a customer it can be difficult to know what you're looking for, so giving a customer an informative first impression can be critical to your companies success.
The?landing page?of your website gives a first impression for a buyer or client. Or more specifically, a landing page is a specifically designed webpage, not your general website homepage, that customers are directed to via email or through search engine results. This landing page gives a first impression of what your business is all about, after drawing them into your webpage.
Why Should I Care?
The design of a landing page can greatly effect its success, as well as the experience of the user. So having a good presentation can greatly effect how your customers feel about your brand. Creating a beautiful and efficient landing page will sell more tickets, increasing traffic and revenue on your site.
UX and UI

UX is defined as user experience, while UI refers to user interference design. Put simply, UX is a human's first interaction with creating a product. Whereas UI is focused on creating ease of access, allowing a smooth and effortless transition throughout the website. When designing a landing page its important to keep both of these terms in mind, tracking interactions and clicks on the website. If your site isn't generating enough traffic or interactions, it may be time to update your website with a better UX or UI.
T-Shaped Marketing
As shown above, T-Shaped marketing is someone that has an abundance of knowledge in a wide array of fields but is an expert in only one or two. The job you have as a marketer will play a large part in this knowledge set, but determining what area you want to become an expert in will be pertinent to your success as a digital marketer.
If you want to learn more about this type of design thinking, Open P-Tech?is a platform that offers in depth courses on design thinking for free. I recently took this course and thought it provided an array of insightful information, most of the information I've talked about on this blog was gained from this course. So I would highly recommend anyone thats interested take it.
