- Question-Based Dialogue (QBD) -
- Ask relevant questions to your audience instead of explaining the concepts yourself
- Call or ask questions to all participants, especially to those who are silent
- Reduce Lecture -?If you want to lecture them, make sure to keep it short. Not more than 5 minutes and immediately move to a question or activity
- Videos -?Show them videos or play audio which brings more value to your training. Ask questions around that content
- Don't be?conscious of yourself -?
- Most new Corporate Trainers do this mistake. They focus so much on themselves, that they forget that the audience is the one, who needs to be focused on
- You might get nervous if you focus more on yourself
- If your Training room feels boring and sad, there are high chances that you i.e. the Trainer is not energetic and enthusiastic
- Energy always flows from the Trainer to the participants first, then from the participants to the trainer, once everybody gets comfortable
- Most trainers will say that a trainer should move only when they change the topic, should make small hand gestures, be normal on voice. Is that how it really works?
- No! It completely depends upon who the audience is, and not even that when people in the room get comfortable
- Just take care of the following things:
- Do not stand in front of the Presentation
- Do not slouch or avoid keeping hands in the pocket
- Never Sit during the Training session (Unless unavoidable)
- Never touch your neck or head or face during the session, these are signs of unrest and confusion
- Keep a smile on your face for the most part of the session
