How To Deliver Montessori-Inspired Business Presentations

Driving Business Impact with Analytics & a Responsible use of AI
In my latest article as an official member of Forbes Technology Council, I shared my experience presenting Generative AI to a group of senior business leaders. During the presentation, I realized that I had inadvertently integrated aspects of the Montessori approach into my presentation style. The subsequent feedback and comments from the audience prompted me to reflect on these elements and their potential application in future presentations.
Here are the five key principles I formulated based on the Montessori approach for engaging senior business leaders:
- Challenging the Norm: Encourage active engagement and curiosity in executives rather than relying solely on external rewards.
- Exploration and Interactive Learning: Create opportunities for leaders to actively explore concepts and information through interactive methods.
- Manipulation of the Environment: Craft a presentation setting that optimizes engagement, using visuals, metaphors, and interactive tools.
- Repetition for Mastery: Provide opportunities for executives to revisit and reinforce key points through follow-up sessions.
- Time for Self-Reflection: Allow leaders to absorb and internalize knowledge within their unique business context.
