HOW TO DELETE A COMPANY FROM YOUR PAYROLL

?NOTE: Before you delete a company:?

  • The user must be a Super User or have full access to the company to be able to delete a company
  • Make a backup of the company data - once you deleted the company you will not be able to recover the data?
  • Ensure that no other user are accessing the system


How to delete a company

  • Launch your payroll system. Do not access any of the companies (stay on the Company Listing screen)
  • Click on the?Manage Companies?button at the top-left of the screen.
  • Under the?Delete a Company?section, select?Delete a Company
  • You will then be asked if you have made a backup of the company
  • Click on <Yes> to confirm if you have made a backup)
  • Otherwise click on <No> and then make a backup of the company
  • Confirm that you would like to delete a company by clicking on <Yes> to continue
  • Click on the drop down arrow and select the company that you would like to delete
  • It will again bring up a confirmation message "Are you 100% sure that you want to select Company Number xxx?"
  • Click on <Yes> if you are sure
  • Once completed, you will then return to the Company Listing screen
  • The company will be removed from the Company Listing screen


?NOTE:?If your payroll system is licensed for the following modules or features, you will not be able to delete the companies using the standard features, the reason being that these companies integrate with other database, and could result in errors when the data synchronises:

  • Sage Self Service
  • Mobility?

Should you require assistance in deleting a company, click?here?to download the Support Letter. Complete the letter with the details of the companies to delete, and?submit the request to Sage Customer Support online.
