How to Define Success as a Manager

Folks define success in different ways: title, # of direct reports, financial status, etc..

How do I define success? Having a partner (direct report) say thank you or express their appreciation because I helped them.

Having a mentee or direct report come to me for input on a decision, work or life, for feedback, insight, etc. Trust is the driving force in that type of request.
