The start...
That’s it! I found it! I couldn’t be more excited.
?
It was a regular day, visiting family in Berlin over a weekend when my mom and I had the idea to go to this special shop for wedding dresses. The wedding was still 18 months away, but I was stuck in my research of what I really wanted and what would be a good fit.
Since I have no intention two have two wedding days or more in. my life, it really was a big decision for me, how my dress will be.
?? When I think back, I had no idea, how this process of choosing the right dress, will help me since then, ?? making better decisions in business, investment, and life in general.
Well, my mom and I went to this shop, totally naive without an appointment “only” to have a look. It was a blessing that the owner of this shop was so helpful that she made it happen, that I could even do a quick fitting. It was my first dress and I fell in love, immediately. That was it!
Anyway, still, 18 months to go. The dress wasn’t available in my size and I had anyway no intention to buy it directly I wanted to see what else will come up in the new season.
The Game Changer
About one year later was finally the time to take it seriously buying my wedding dress. Unfortunately, I couldn’t make it to Berlin, but I found a great place closer to me.
My mom and I scheduled the appointment, and the goal was to find my dress on this day in this shop.
I couldn’t believe that they had the same dress available in my size that I fell in love with in Berlin one year ago.
Well, I love to make fast decisions, so I told everybody, let’s try it and if it fits, we are done.
But that wasn’t the plan of the rest of the group. The wanted to make sure, that I am 1000% sure.
So, they forced me to try 9 dresses before I was allowed to wear my chosen one.
Even though it didn’t make sense to me, because I made I my mind anyway, this was the best experience.

How does this story relate to your business?
We work with clients who invest in real estate for the first time. And obviously, they made up their mind, about what they felt comfortable with. The issue is often that it takes ages until they buy their first property because everything must be perfect. AND they don’t even want to evaluate deals that don’t check each point of their list upfront.
Well, in business, investing, or sometimes in life, you’ll have to make decisions without having all the answers and each piece of information. It must go fast. Evaluating other options is helping you make the right decision in the end.
Conclusion
Making fast decisions is something you can practice. There is no need to sleep a week thinking over this situation. You already made up your mind anyway. The only reason is, that you are searching for arguments for or against it.
It doesn’t matter if you stick with your first choice or change your mind. The point is you must start doing something to be able to decide.
Our clients get comfortable in a new area, have more know-how and make well-founded decisions, and can take full responsibility. Most of the time the first investment doesn’t check all the boxes and nevertheless, they are happy. Because they realize, some of the boxes aren’t as important then they thought.
What dress did I buy at the end??
You want to know, what wedding dress I finally bought?
My first choice. The difference was feeling. The feeling to be sure, this is my dress, was even stronger.
In the end, all that matters is, how you feel about your decision and whether can you take full responsibility.
