How to deal with toxic people

Assertiveness
This week, I was interviewed by a journalist about bully and toxic relationships at work. And how to negotiate with these people.
Without giving away the interview answers this gave me the idea to write this.
The simple and useful way to do this is ASSERTIVENESS.
Why assertiveness
Being assertive enables one to advocate for one's own interests, particularly in situations involving disagreement.
Demonstrating assertiveness is equivalent to attaining complete involvement.
Being assertive fosters and sustains fortitude and self-assurance.
What is assertiveness
Assertiveness helps you defend yourself and others, particularly in difficult circumstances. Clear, polite, confident communication defines assertiveness. You communicate your ideas, emotions, and views openly and without violating others' rights. The halfway ground between violence and apathy is assertiveness. It calls for action based on care's profound worth.
Assertive individuals regard your safety, limits, and needs, as well as others'. Mindful assertiveness includes accountability, nonjudgment, and compassion.
When you behave assertively, you choose to convey your thoughts and emotions in a manner that promotes peace and harmony. You try to convey your desires without having the other person “lose†so you may “win.†Stress, frustration, and anger make us want to react, blame, and hurt others. We hope punishment will deter hurtful behaviour. We hope this “lesson†will stay with the other person and prevent them from hurting us again. Aggression is an ineffective motivator. In reality, trying to dominate someone is a lose-lose situation. Not working. Influence, not aggressiveness or control, creates win-win solutions.?
Lack of assertiveness
Lack of assertiveness is the inability to clearly, confidently, and respectfully communicate one's thoughts, wants, and wishes. People with assertiveness issues may avoid disagreements, comply with others' preferences, or hesitate to speak out. Criticism, worry, and inactivity may occur. In severe circumstances, they may become “emotional doormats†and lose sight of their goals.
Lack of assertiveness may be caused by poor self-esteem, fear of confrontation, need for approval, lack of communication skills, cultural factors, anxiety, prior unpleasant experiences, and insufficient self-awareness.
Influence - Persuasion or assertiveness
Everyone needs to influence others, so assertiveness is a crucial communication skill. Assertiveness is setting healthy boundaries and taking responsibility for your ideas, emotions, and actions. However, like many essential things in life, theory to practice may be difficult. Assertiveness training is essential.

Being assertive empowers. It shows in good communication and behavior. It matches your stance with your goals. Elegant assertiveness empowers you and others, creating a win-win situation. You significantly improve your health, worth, and ability to help others.
Conclusion:
Some points to consider if you want to show more assertiveness?
- Look for direct, open, and honest communication.
- Understand and defend your own and other people's limits.
- Respect yourself and your rights, and also the rights of others.
- Accept that you do not influence other people.
- Respectfully express your thoughts and requirements.
- Listen to understand other people's points of view.
- Communicate discretely and watch your body language.
